It's a different option but not necessarily that cheaper or better.
I reckon the note is higher, and due to the tip size, alignment is challenging.
Are you in Melbourne or Sydney right now? You have options... :D
I'd be tempted to just put twin tips on the stockers, in the spirit of experimentation!

Come n get em! :P
Let me know when you're in or close to the city at least.
Since you've got H6, I doubt you'd have any issues at all with the note or your tune.
Stock sound, baller looks.

I'd never been in a 3.0 till last week, then 2 of. So unbelievably smooth! I get it now. Hook, line and sinker...

I emailed MSR this morning to check if he had any spare WRX wide body mufflers floating around.

Mick's response:
I retuned an auto the other day with STI mufflers fitted over std with TBE, got less than 4kw, and drone was not good at 2k.
Damn, i was hoping for a good quad pipe muffler setup without the drone :(

Unfortunately the auto's wagons are really bad for drone.

Auto = bad. wagon = bad. auto + wagon = double bad

A good tuner should be able to tune out some of the drone, and maybe some sort of sound proofing (dynamat) could also help reduce the in cabin droning

You can play with drone the same way you play the Trombone ;) Change the pulse length on cruise. Less drone = better fuel economy

I'm getting a pleasantly distant hum on freeway cruise @ 2300rpm. Couldn't hear it over the music at any rate.
Went for a burn with Bruce: he assured me the toothsome burbling around town is very quiet compared to "proper" mega muffs and that the current setup is a very long way off being a public nuisance!
W :D :D T!!! Cake and eating it too...

Plan is to try out the mystery muffs on Simons H6 wagon with Xforce mid. Might add a little spice to the smoothness :P

According to the warehouse manager at work, the exhaust note, as heard from the footpath with me cruising by in second, is a muted version of the "boy racer" norm. :P

imho... PEERRRFECT! :buba:
