Update: Simon and Mick helped me get the AVO mid lifted on its hangers.
I wound up using the stock rubber cookie, and 2x thin rubber cookies all on minimum possible distances to raise the mid by maybe an inch or two.
We put the Lib on stands on its side and jacked the passenger side rear wheel a little to provide more clearance in order to raise the mid pipe, also jacked. Obviously anyone sane would seek assistance from an exhaust professional, but I like DIY :P

The result on a short test drive was much less boom from the zorst at around 1000-1200 rpm, little or no knocking in normal driving. Sounds much tighter acoustically, more impressions soon!

Hopefully, I won't be scraping on speed bumps either, which, including some observations from Bruce, were indications that the exhaust system needed some attention.

I'll attempt to get the tips aligned so they just clear the cutouts - hoping that kills the slight low rev boominess :D
Other than that, all good!

Rather than jacking the rear end, we jacked the passenger side on the forward and rear jacking points in order to tilt the car up on its side.
It may have allowed more access for getting the mid pipe jacked up at the Y junction 'cos you can get in from the back or the middle of the car.

Is that an engine stand for a centurion tank?

But no, I'll need one of those when I get around to detailing at last :P

Update: I was getting bit tired of the 1K rpm sonic BOOOM so I got under and checked all the bolts etc.
All tight, but whilst at it, I zip tied the bumper to its supports and zip tied the muffs so they were no longer touching the bumper.

RESULT!

I guess the bumper was acting as an amplifier to the vibration - everything sounds much tighter :-)
I'll definitely be getting quotes on getting the muffs properly aligned!

I also found a rock wedged in between the body and a heatshield that was causing an eery rattle on warm up.
Ahhh... the endless cycle of modification and mitigation :P

How did you get these to fit the lib bumper? The opening is smaller than the width of the 2 tips?
Also which exhaust place did you get it done? I have attempted this but it's currently sitting low under the bumper.
